A Persian man has his settlements in the region of Lahore which also a part of India back then. The Sufi saint was believed to have locked himself up at dargah to offer prayers for the less fortunate people. 

The saint was almost 114 years old and his sacred mortal remnants are what constitute his tomb and make Ajmer Dargah Sharif a prominent place of devotion. He breathed his last in the early 13th century and was believed to hold immense spiritual powers. However, if you have ever come across a belief that any wish made in front of his tomb in Ajmer Sharif Dargah will get fulfilled.

The sparkling lights, soulful qawwali, and positive spiritual vibe will take you to another world of peace and devotion. A famous celebration of the Urs festival at Dargah Sharif lasts for 6 days and takes place during the 7th month as per the Islamic lunar calendar. A huge BulandDarwaza in the premises is kept open on all 6 days during this celebration for 24 hours. The divine and peace in the atmosphere is truly a must-experience during this festival.


How to reach Dargah Sharif Ajmer ?
Ajmer Dargah Sharif is one of the prominent attractions in Rajasthan as well as a place to visit near Pushkar. So, one can easily access the place by Flight , Train or Bus From All Parts of the World. The nearest airport to Ajmer is located in Kishangarh and Jaipur, so you can hire a car rental service to reach the Dargah from airports. If you are traveling by train, then board a train that directly connects with Ajmer and then visit this spiritual location by any local conveyance.  

By Air – The nearest airport to reach Ajmer is Newly Open Kishangarh Airport Populary Known as Ajmer Airport. However Jaipur and Delhi are other important Airports in region. Total Distance Between Dargah Ajmer Sharif and Airport is approx 30kms and takes 40mins by road.. 
By Rail – Ajmer Railway Station is well-connected to most of the major cities of country. There are daily and weekly trains available from all parts of India to reach here. The mosque is located around 2kms from junction. 
By Road – There are Good number of coaches and volvo and sleeper buses to and from Ajmer to all nearby state's. The city is well connected with well maintained Roads to all major cities and capital of country.  


Best time to visit Ajmer sharif Dargah– 
Well Ajmer sharif is open to all visitors throughout the year. There are many fairs and festivals going on in diffrent seasons of the year. However it is best to visit in the winter as the weather is very pleasent and it is the Season time in Rajasthan. October to March is considered as the Best season time in the state.
