On the instance when Goddess Savitri arrived, she was upset to see someone else in her place, and in her anger, she cursed everyone present there. Later Savitri went to the hilltop and from then the agreement was made that the goddess will always be worshiped first before Gayatri. And this tradition still continues in the temples .

How to get-in Savitri Temple Pushkar? Reaching Savitri Temple takes just a short 15-minute walk southwest from Pushkar ghat.
